Vegvisir: a governed bridge for WordPress operations
WordPress automation is more useful when permissions, requests, tool compatibility and evidence are controlled instead of hidden inside a powerful plugin.

WordPress makes it easy to add capability, but every plugin also adds code, permissions, update dependencies and a new failure path. Operations become difficult when a remote platform needs broad administrator access to perform routine work. Vegvisir is being developed as a governed bridge between supported WordPress workflows and Lancaster-managed systems.
Least privilege is the starting point
A maintenance tool should not receive unrestricted access simply because it may need to update a plugin or clear a cache. The intended model uses scoped permissions, signed requests and replay protection so each connected action can be evaluated against a defined purpose.
The bridge should coordinate, not replace, supported tools
Many sites already use established SEO, backup, cache, analytics and security products. Vegvisir is intended to coordinate approved workflows and evidence rather than recreate every feature. Compatibility and version behavior must be tested because a nominal integration is not useful when an update silently changes the response.
Every action needs a record
A remote request should identify the target, requested operation, authorisation, result and relevant error. That record supports troubleshooting and client reporting. It also makes it possible to distinguish between a request that was rejected, accepted, completed or partially failed.
Failure handling matters
WordPress sites vary widely. A maintenance action may time out, lose connectivity or expose a conflict after execution. The bridge needs bounded retries, clear failure states and a safe way to stop rather than repeatedly applying the same action.
Private prototype is the honest status
Vegvisir is not being marketed as a public plugin-marketplace product. Lancaster Solutions is validating the permission model, supported tool set, update path and failure behavior through private use cases and selected partner conversations before broader release is considered.
