Private channels change the evidence and pressure
Moving from a game lobby into direct messages, private voice, encrypted chat, or a small server can make contact feel more personal and harder for others to notice. The move itself is not proof of harm, but secrecy, disappearing messages, age deception, gifts, sexual jokes, demands for photos, and pressure to avoid parents are warning signs. Keep new contacts in spaces with moderation until trust is earned.
Use separate gaming and personal identities. Avoid usernames, profiles, or linked accounts that reveal full name, school, team, address, routine, or family. Review who can add friends, send direct messages, view mutual servers, or join voice. Do not connect every social account automatically.
Voice creates urgency without a record
